How do I get started?

What makes you different?

3

One thing I value deeply is consistency and reliability. Reaching out for therapy can already feel vulnerable and overwhelming, and I believe clients deserve clear communication, follow-through, and a therapist who genuinely shows up for the work alongside them.

I strive to create a practice where clients feel supported not only during sessions, but throughout the therapeutic process. That means responding to messages in a timely manner, being transparent about scheduling and policies, and creating a steady, dependable space where you know what to expect.

What insurances do you accept?

4

I am currently in-network with Aetna (MO and IL), Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield/Carelon (MO), Cigna (MO and IL). I am currently working to be paneled with BCBS of Illinois and UHC/Optum. I am happy to offer superbills for potential out of network reimbursement. Insurance participation may change as credentialing is completed. Please contact me with questions about your specific plan.

What is your self-pay rate?

5

Our first session (called an intake appointment) is $150. Regular 50-minute sessions are $130.

What counseling concerns do you help with?

6

I work with a variety of concerns including neurodivergence such as ADHD, ASD, AuDHD, as well as anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, life transitions, identity exploration, trauma, irritability/anger, chronic pain, grief, family concerns, relationship concerns, pregnancy/postpartum, academic concerns, and insomnia.

What is your therapy style like?

7

My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and move toward what matters most to you.

Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to. While I may offer skills, tools, and gentle challenges when appropriate, I believe some of the most important work happens through curiosity, self-understanding, and the therapeutic relationship itself.

Can you prescribe medication?

8

No. As a licensed professional counselor, I do not prescribe medication.

If you believe that medication may be helpful as part of your treatment, I can assist you in finding a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or other qualified medical provider for an evaluation. I am also happy to collaborate with your prescribing provider, with your written permission, to help ensure your care is coordinated and that everyone involved has a clear understanding of your treatment goals and progress.

While medication can be an important tool for some individuals, therapy can be effective on its own or alongside medication. Together, we can discuss what approach feels most appropriate for your needs and goals.

Do you offer emergency services?

9

No. While I would love there to be multiple clones of me so I could be available 24/7, alas that is not possible. In the event of a crisis, call 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), go to the nearest Emergency Room, or call 911.

The short answer is: it depends.

The right session frequency varies based on your goals, current challenges, available resources, and the level of support that feels most helpful to you. Many clients start with weekly sessions, especially when learning new skills, navigating significant stressors, or working toward important changes. Others may benefit from biweekly or monthly sessions.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll regularly check in about what level of support is helping you stay connected to your goals and values. My aim is to find a schedule that feels both effective and sustainable for your life.
